ANZAC Day Tournament at Torrensville Bowling Club

On a (mostly) sunny day, 22 teams competed in our annual ANZAC Day Tournament at Torrensville Bowling Club Day Tournament. It was a great day yesterday, and the smooth running and delicious meals were a tribute to all those that worked so hard to make it happen. We would like to give a special shout out to Life Member Bruce Matar, who in addition to working and organising behind the scenes, was the sponsor of the event.

Our thanks also go to the clubs that joined us on this special day; we really appreciate you coming along and participating in such good spirit. Those clubs include Grange, McLaren Vale, Sturt, Watervale, West Lakes, Beaumont, Woodville, Playford, Somerton, Adelaide and Clarendon.

Unlike the football, it wasn’t a draw, and congratulation to the winning team from Woodville. It was also very pleasing to see second place go the Torrensville team of Chiro, Joe and the father and son duo, Steve and Des.

We look forward to running the Anzac Day tournament next year, and encourage those that attended to return and we will welcome them and any club that would like to join us with typical Torrensville hospitality. See you in 2025!
