On the last day (March 22nd) that would allow the winner to be entered into the Champion of Champions, Kevin Morris ( a multiple club champion) faced John Eade. The small crowd in attendance saw Kevin race out to an early 13- to 3 lead. Perhaps due to a long spell in hospital, Kevin was not able to maintain his early blistering accuracy. John displayed some brilliant draw bowling to overhaul his opponent, and the match finished at 21-17 in John’s favour. Marker for the match, Bill Cooper said “It was a pleasure to mark this match. Well done both of you.”
