“A game of two halves” is a common description for sporting contests, and the much delayed Pairs Championship was a perfect example of this. Frank and Bruce got out to a 15 to 5 lead at the half-way mark, but Lyn and Hooch added 19 to 2 shots in the last 9 ends to triumph 24 to 17.
